An hour northwest of Minneapolis is the city of Sauk Rapids. There on 258 acres adjoining Mayhew Creek Park James & Associates set out to develop "the perfect neighborhood." The Village of Creekside was designed by Rick Harrison as a neighborhood where neighbors could truly interact one another on the abundant walking trails, ponds, and gathering areas. Architecturally, the developers envisioned a historically-inspired village with traditional housing styles--Colonials and Craftsmans and Farmhouses and Victorians.
Within the plat, Rick Harrison included a section of BayHomes offering association-maintained, single-family homes on narrow lots. James and Associates turned to Homescape Design Group for a library of BayHome plans. Homescape's historically-sensitive elevation styles fit perfectly with the developer's design philosophy. Homescape delivered a "book of plans" branded with the builder and development logos suitable for distribution to prospective homebuyers at The Villages of Creekside.
