The lakefront neighborhood of Idlewood Beach has hosted West Michigan families for generations in both humble and magnificent cottage-style homes. Streetscape Communities turned to Homescape Design Group for plans for two delightful cottage homes to be built on adjacent 50’-wide lots. Adapting plans from the BayHome Collection, Homescape converted a story-and-a-half Canterbury plan initially developed for a flat or descending site into a split-level appropriate for an uphill site. The photos show the tight site conditions of the two homes and the spacing of the homes on parallel 50’ lots.
