The lakefront neighborhood of Idlewood Beach has hosted West Michigan families for generations in both humble and magnificent cottage-style homes. Streetscape Communities turned to Homescape Design Group for plans for two delightful cottage homes to be built on adjacent 50’-wide lots. Adapting plans from the BayHome Collection, Homescape converted a story-and-a-half Canterbury plan initially developed for a flat or descending site into a split-level appropriate for an uphill site. The photos show the tight site conditions of the two homes and the spacing of the homes on parallel 50’ lots.

On this narrow site, the "front" door of the house is actually on the side.
Decorative garage doors, trim details, and landscaping give this 24'-wide home real curb appeal.
